概要	This chapter illustrates some unique characteristics and recent developments related to community-based rehabilitation of justice involved persons in Japan. The first point is that a single governmental agency carries out community-based rehabilitation, probationary and parole supervision and support for all ages. The second point is that there is extensive participation of volunteers in this field. As for Hogoshi, the Kyoto Hogoshi Declaration was adopted on 7 March 2021 on the occasion of 14th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice held at Kyoto, Japan.
