概要 | This paper starts with an overview of the online food purchase channel development in Japan. And then the research questions are set in relation to shopper age and food categories. The analysis is drawn from the National Survey of Family Income and Expenditure (1999-2018). The online food purchase rate per se and purchase rate growth for the 30-49 age groups have been higher than that of the under 30s’. The younger age group may be more accustomed to digital technology, but regarding online food purchases, the digital knowhow seems not to be the main contributing factor. |
